Adeveloper of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic. Anno 1701 History Edition already exists as part of the full History Collection which includes 1602HE, 1503HE, 1701HE and 1404HE. It also was on giveaway on Ubisoft store at the end of 2020. Les développeurs devraient refaire anno 1701.

Withoutthe complete edition, I'd still say that 1800 is ahead of 1404, but it's a slightly more even match this way. 1800 has more quality-of-life features than 1404, though, since it's a much newer game. I've just played the base game of Anno 1800 and have enjoyed it a lot and it felt very intutive after Anno 1404.
Thatalone is worth the cost if you really like the game. Anno 1404 and 2070 are my favorites of the Anno series of games. In fact, I don't really like the newer Anno games, I prefer the older ones. I haven't played any of the Anno games after 2070. I bought them and tried to played them but didn't enjoy them like I do 1404 and 2070.
Andbased on the average reviews the game has received in its lifetime it is clear that Anno 2070 isn't even close to Anno 1404 in terms of quality and content. So the competition is 1404 vs 1800. Sherrow's comment looks pretty objective so far. I still would like to see more opinions especially those that honestly believe Anno 1800 is better.

Ibought the Anno 1800 - Year 4 Complete Edition, STILL missing a lot of the DLC's. I feel a bit ripped off! #1. The Renderer Dec 25, 2022 @ 6:22am.
